Whitesboro, Texas is a town of just over 4,000 people.  It is a great town with friendly people and a small town environment. Not exactly  Mayberry,  but it is pretty close or at least I think so.

The Lovejoys own a little restaurant located on Main that serves lunch on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11-12. They serve a sandwich, savory soup, quiche or salad. They also have a soda shop that they rescued and still serve ice cream from.

I was in our grocery store named David’s and wound up talking with a friend of ours for about an half an hour in one of the aisles.  Then in walks the Chief of Police getting a few groceries. My wife and I finished our conversation with our friend and proceeded to the check out when up walked the Chief. I gave him a Badges & Boots Gospel tract and introduced myself. He told me about how he uses a local Pastor as his Chaplain and then has another local minister as a back up.  We talked about a few other things and then said our goodbyes.
